Joint CMCS And SAMHSA Informational Bulletin
Coverage of Behavioral Health Services for Youth with Substance Use Disorders.
This bulletin outlines steps so that youth can address their substance use disorders, receive treatment and continuing care and find services and supports to help in their recovery.  Resources are also identified to help states create a benefits package for youth with substance use disorders and their families.

 

Adverse Childhood Events (ACEs) Study
This study examines the relationship between childhood experiences, such as abuse and household dysfunction on adult health and mortality.  A questionnaire was sent to over 13,ooo adults asking about whether they had experienced any of seven types of abuse in their childhood.  The results show a correlation between abusive childhood experiences and health risks in adulthood.
